Experiencing joint pain during menopause!

Experiencing joint pain during menopause has been a very difficult challenge for me. I was always someone who had always been active and full of vitality. The sudden discomfort and stiffness in my joints were not only physically debilitating but also emotionally challenging. I found myself struggling to enjoy the activities I once loved. I felt like my body was betraying me.
Learning that estrogen levels decline during perimenopause and creates swelling in my joints was a shock to me. I never knew this to be a “condition” of menopause. I have also learned that dietary changes and exercise can greatly improve my pain. It is still a work in progress but I’m very hopeful to get my life back.
