I felt very vulnerable…

I was at a follow up appointment to preform a biopsy on my cervix. I was in the chair with my feet in the stirrups and everything was lit up and ready. A nurse walked in the room from behind me and proceeded to talk to my doctor. My doctor rested his elbows on my knees and continued the conversation for a good 3-4 minutes occasionally look at me to involve me in the conversation. I was still fully exposed and felt very vulnerable and unable to focus on the important decisions that we were making. I’m sure for them it’s routine but it was a much bigger deal for me. It would have been nothing for them to allow me to sit up while we had this conversation.
