How can I be productive with brainfog?

How can I be productive with brainfog? I’m 47, and lately, I feel like I’ve lost my mental edge. At work, I struggle with tasks I used to breeze through. Even simple things, like navigating to a new place, have become an issue for me. I usually love diving into books and binge-watching shows, but now, I can hardly get through a few pages or an episode. Instead of fully engaging, she often find myself pausing, or multi-tasking and then completely losing the train of where I was at. This is not normal for me.

I find that exercise helps temporarily sometimes. Just as I leave the gym I feel my brain shift a little. But I literally don’t have enough time to exercise everyday to feel better. I really don’t like this phase – I feel like I am at my prime and this is hampering me severely. I wait in dread for the night sweats and hot flashes that I’ve also read about.  I have started talking to my doctor about Hormone Replacement Therapy and have started oestrogen patches. I know this can be controversial, but to be honest I’m quite desperate to have my mind back.

Reading the stories here, I feel less alone, it’s comforting to share our experiences. I’m hopeful that the treatment I’ve started will help so that I can figure out how can I be productive with brainfog – though it’s still early days.
